  • Machine rolled cigar’s aren’t better than hand rolled

    Published August 17th, 2008
    by Trevor Wallace

When you think of a fine Cuban cigar, you are probably thinking of something hand rolled and created with the most precision and care. Yet their are Cuban cigars that are machine rolled and the are called cigarillos. Basically these are small cigarette size cigars and have shredded tobacco in it rather than the actual Cuban tobacco leaf.

I just thought I’d let you know that there is a huge difference. It’s like comparing the sky to the ground. The properties of a Cuban cigar and machine made cigars differ like crazy. You can’t really compare them because first a Cuban cigar is rolled by professionals who have been doing it for centuries. Machine made cigars are made by machines and all you need is a machine.

You just have to ask yourself, and most importantly, try a Cuban cigar first. Since most people get intimidated by the size of an average Cuban cigar, I suggest that you don’t go to crazy with the machine made cigars. They are great but not something that I would completely go for. If I didn’t have any smokes, I would be going for those than and only than.

However, machine made cigars are only meant for people who are not Cuban cigar smokers and just want to have the feel of smoking a cigar. Personally, I think that is ridiculous because it has nothing to do with real Cuban cigar taste. Cuban cigars when compared to machine made cigars isn’t a fair comparison at all.

So before you ever compare things together, please get the proper information. After all, smoking Cuban tobacco is suppose to bring people from all walks of life together for a good time and not turn them away. Let us educate ourselves and enjoy the gifts that nature has presented us with. Bottom line, Cuban cigars are better - period. If someone hands you a machine rolled Cuban cigar or a hand rolled Cuban cigar, now you know which one to pick.
