Every World of Warcraft player wants to amass tons and tons of gold with the game. After all what’s more satisfying then walking around with the most uber gear? But getting all that uber gear doesn’t come cheap. In order to compensate for this most gamers resort to WoW gold farming.

What is WoW gold farming? Well basically it is the playing tactic where you grind out a spot that is known for great items drops and where the mobs have a very fast re-spawn rate, so that you can maximize your rate of gold earnings per hour.

Firstly, you must have heard a million times that if you want to make gold in World of Warcraft, then its true that the Auction House (AH) will help you out in that. You should put every green item in the AH, if you are not an enchanter. The full amount is not paid by the vendors for the value it has. Don’t try to be an enchanter if you are a beginner in the game. Save that option for another character. It a dearer business if you have gold already.

Most of these wow gold guides claim their secret gold spots within the game can yield upwards of 200+ Gold an hour. Some even claim more then that. Guess what? This isn’t really true.

I tested the theory out and what they do not factor in to their claims, the cost for selling all these items on the auction house.

The time it takes to actually move all that inventory and the total amount of time and cost it’ll take to re-list and sell all the stuff that didn’t sell the first time.

Located in Azshara, in the farthest Southwestern corner are the Highborne Apparitions and Lichlings. These mobs are fairly easy to kill with a low hit point count and drop mageweave along with lots of blue and green items. For that reason, they are perfect targets for farming.

To prove that all these wow gold guide claims are false and that their methods of wow gold farming really are not the best as far as how to amass a ton of gold I took up a challenge I like to call the 30 Day Speed Gold Run Challenge. This challenge is simple and immediately shows that all the wow gold guide claims out there, simply do not work. The challenge is; see how much gold you can make in 30 days on a brand new server, WITHOUT any help from higher levels characters and WITHOUT any skills, using only Lowbie Alts.
